Growing up in a very protective environment, Ibrahim Mokdad never even heard about homosexuality until he found out he liked boys more than he liked girls. It was when he started acting on those feelings he faced violence and discrimination in his hometown Lebanon. After being beaten and losing the love and support of his family and friends he decided to flee to Germany.

Ibrahim, now an LGBT refugee traveled for over two weeks to finally build up a new life in the city of Cologne. Now, a year later, Ibrahim is turning his life around by being an outspoken LGBT activist. Finding love in helping other refugees and breaking not only physical but also social and mental borders.
